A new spin on an old classic theme, great book!

Bravo Mr. Cooper! Every book I've read from this author has been unique in its own way and this one, I believe, is probably the best so far. It has all the makings of a classic love story, with plot twists that are anything but 'classic'. He does an amazing job giving each character in the story a personality that gets you to feel them as you would a friend or neighbor instead of just some filler in a bigger story line. He definitely captured small town persona and he took what still today is a sensitive topic and I believe gave a beautiful perspective through the story line. If only all people viewed the world through the eyes of love, what a beautiful place we'd live in and I feel this author, through this story expressed the theme that love truly can conquer all.

Great Romance - With a Gripping Twist!

Straight From the Heart has all the elements that go into making a first-rate romance - with a major twist. You can't help but be drawn to the characters. They are real. living, breathing characters living lives with promise. Everything is going their way. It is near perfect. Then, the secret is revealed. It threatens to ruin all their lives. Don't miss this one. If you don't read another romance this year, this one will make up for all you might otherwise have missed. .

Yet another fantastic book from this author!

Mr.Cooper has done it again. This book is a must read. Definitely not your average romance novel, this goes way beyond.Even if you don't normally read romance novels, I suggest making an exception, and READ THIS BOOK!!! The characters are so well developed, and the descriptions of the town so detailed, (without being long and boring) it practically put me right there with them. I was totally immersed in it from page one, right up till the end. I am usually pretty good at guessing what the "twist" is in books, movies etc, but this definitely surprised me, which makes me very happy. I enjoy the way he brings you through the story, shows many different perspectives about a touchy and controversial subject without being pushy about his own opinions. He let the characters just "be themselves" and tell their stories, I find that wonderfully refreshing. I look forward to reading more from Mr.Cooper, he has quickly become one of my favorite writers.
