A unique topic not often written about

When I saw the cover and read the description for Becoming Blue, I was immediately intrigued. I will start off by saying, based on the description I wasn't aware of the exact content of this story. I knew it would deal with weight, a larger heroine and possibly body image, but it actually dealt with a pretty specific fetish (feederism, a fetish I do not recall ever reading about in a book before). It made for a very interesting and at times very disturbing read. Sara has body image issues. She sees a therapist and also attends regular Weight Watchers meetings to help her lose weight. It is at one of these meetings where she meets Sasha. Sasha becomes almost like a fairy godmother for Sara. Sasha owns a fetish company that specializes in men who are attracted to overweight women and love to feed them. Soon Sara is becoming Blue, a sought after employee of the fetish company and men (including the Javi, the mysterious, attractive, and quite disturbing man who becomes a love interest of sorts to Sara. Soon she finds herself beginning to accept her body, while also becoming more and more embroiled in this strange world of fetish and obsession. I enjoyed this book tremendously and thing it carries an important message and tells a very interesting story. I look forward to the next book in this series. This one was left a bit open ended (ah the ending, didn't see that reveal coming and I most definitely hope to get some kind of closure in future books in this series) and I cannot wait to see where Brashears mind takes us next.

I thought this book was great! This author is not afraid to do the ...

I thought this book was great! This author is not afraid to do the unexpected or to take you places that totally shock you. Although the stories focus is on "Blue," a previously abused, over-weight woman who doesn't seem to be sure if she's trying to eat her problems away or to end it all via food consumption, there are actually several stories emerging with the introductions of other characters. They each have their own history, some partially delved into and others yet to be further explored, but the author makes you WANT to explore further and leaves you asking questions about each one. This is a funny, at times scary, VERY OFTEN EROTIC story-line so prepare yourselves for anything! To say anything further would be spoiling the story for you. All I can say is, to those of you who enjoy reading a fun, sexy, dysfunctional character (and let's face it, most of us suffer some sort of dysfunction, so we can all relate to something, right?) who goes through so many of the emotions we've all had in life, the up's and the down's and still found a way to laugh, if you enjoy spicy sex scenes and have an interest in psychology and what makes people do the things they do-this is the book for you and I highly recommend it. I look forward to book 2!

In Angie M. Brashears Becoming Blue we are introduced to Sara (with no H) an over weight, shy and self conscious young woman who has a troubling past. Sara attends therapy sessions to bring to light the reasons for her weight gain and her eating addiction. While attending a Weight Watchers meeting Sara is befriended by Sasha a carefree confident plus size woman who has a no holds barred outlook on life. After hijacking Sara from the WW meeting Sasha explains that she, believes that Sara would be the perfect addition to her business and lifestyle Chubby Chasers Inc. CCI a place where people pay high prices for an online membership to watch a house full of plus size woman and can request for special favors and fetishes to be brought to light on screen for a certain price. While at the house Sara is introduced to the other owner of CCI Gretchen and Javi. Javi is one of the owners of the CCI house and is the go to guy, driver, cook, fluffer…yes you read that right fluffer. Sara agrees to move in and have her life on camera and takes on the pin up girl image and her new on camera name Blue. Sara’s shy and innocent way is no match for the sweet talking Javi, the chemistry and heat between the two is off the charts. When the past comes to light and truths are revealed will the two be able to make it work? Becoming Blue is a dark erotic romance that has twists and turns around every corner that will leave you shocked and wanting more. This book has it all; humor, romance, suspense, and fetishes you would never have guessed even existed. I defiantly recommend this book to anyone who likes a dark erotic read. I’m looking forward to reading book two in the Chubby Chasers Inc series and cannot wait to read more from this new and talented author.
