What do you get, when you cross a pretty woman over forty with self-esteem issues and two rich, sexy, dominant, younger men? You get hot kinky sex, complex characters, real raw emotion, and happy endings in more ways than one.
This is my first Kat Barrett book and I am hooked already. I absolutely loved this book.
The heroine in the story is Tusca (love the name btw). She is sweet, beautiful, and smart, but has no confidence or self-esteem. The abuse heaped on her by her parents, classmates, and ex-husband all because she wasn't society's idea of the perfect size, pissed me off and made me cry. I like that although she does have issues with her self-worth, she isn't whiny and weak. She is a strong woman who needs someone to see her worth.
Vance's "hobby" is fixing women. He finds them, fixes them, and let's them go. He doesn't do emotion, relationships, or HEA. At first, I wasn't sure what to think of Vance. Is he just some rich jerk with mommy issues or is he afraid to love, afraid to open himself up the possibilities of happily ever after? I would vacillate between wanting to reach into my Kindle and smack the crap out of him to wanting to reach in and hug him because he was so sweet and wounded.
Thor, Vance's older brother and the other half of the "fix the broken woman project", loves Tusca just as much as Vance and wants to join them as their third. However, he steps aside when realizes his brother wants Tusca as more than a project. When Thor's hard-headed brother messes everything up with the equally hard-headed Tusca, it's up to Thor to fix the mess between the two people he loves the most.
Will they let Thor join their triad and live happily ever after? I'm not telling. You are going to have to read it to find out. It's definitely worth purchasing and I plan on reading it again. Well done Ms. Barrett, you gained another stalker, I mean fan!

What Tusca thought was a temp opportunity from heaven is actually her introduction to a completely new world.
As part of Kat Barrett's new series called Their Master Plan, HER INTRODUCTION TO KINK gives readers a hot and heavy dose of the BDSM lifestyle.
Vance is looking for the perfect submissive. When he encounters Tusca, his Dom tendencies are brought to the forefront. He offers her a deal she can't refuse. What ensues is a spicy read as Tusca is transformed into a confident woman who can then go after what she wants.
The character development was especially important in this story since both Vance and Tusca changed quite a bit as the storyline evolved. As their arrangement became more personal instead of just a game, it was interesting to gauge Vance's reaction.
With Vance's brother, Thor, playing a significant role, it was fun to watch a submissive turn her poorly behaving Dom inside out. There's plenty of hot moments in this story as Tusca's education continues.
I'm adding this to my keeper shelf with a warning of hot and spicy -- in a very naughty way.

Everything about Tusca’s personality screams maudlin. It is a wonder she manages to get out of bed. She is right about one thing though, and that is nothing will change in her life until she is ready for it. Frankly, it is hard to imagine men like Vance and Thor getting all hyped up over a woman so obviously depressed and depressing. Personally, I would love to see her utilize her anger as a launching pad, and make her own future happen.
