Lara Mehta has spent most of her days trying to avoid her family and the same question that they always ask; when will she get married? He makes a bad decision when he breaks into a lab and is caught suddenly. However, he is saved by Lara and she makes a deal with him. All she asks is that he pretend to be her fiance for short amount of time. If he can do that much, she won't tell anyone about his true profession. She also plans to teach him how to be the perfect gentleman for her family. He agrees to this and figures that they will not fall in love. After all, she is well off and he is not. There is no way they could ever be attracted to each other. At least, that's what they both think...fate just has another plan for them.

Taming The Thief

Taming the Thief is a romantic story about finding love in the most unexpected places. For Lara, love was just not in the cards for her. She was just too busy with work and her career in a pharmaceutical lab. Her family wanted to see her get married. Lara wanted to make her family happy but at the same time didn’t feel that finding true love would happen for her - at least not at that point in her life. That was until the handsome Sebastian walked into her life. He was not like most men that she had met. He was not only handsome, but he intrigued her. There was something about him that she liked. Lara felt an immediate attraction to him despite barely knowing him. The only bad thing facing this situation was how she actually met him. She met Sebastian while he was trying to break into the pharmaceutical lab where she worked at. Against her better judgment, Lara decided to not turn him in if he agreed to pretend to be her fiancé to her family. Reluctantly, he agreed and things seem to change for them both. Despite many bumps along the way, Lara and Sebastian learned a lot about each other and a lot about love. Perhaps there was a potential romance and happy ending to Lara’s story. But of course, Lara had to tame the thief first.
I liked this story because it was romantic and entertaining. The storyline was fun and is a good read if you are looking for a story with a little romance.

Excellent story and narration, a pleasure to listen to

Would you consider the audio edition of Taming the Thief to be better than the print version?
The narrator was the best I have heard so far in CS Patra's books. Coulter Evans voice was a pleasure to listen to and I enjoyed every moment of this book.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the two main characters, how they found each other and how they were instantly attracted to each other. The characters are introduced and we get a bit more information on each of them throughout the story.
Which scene was your favorite?
Hard to pick one scene, I guess the times they were out in the Indian restaurants and she was teaching him about her culture and her family.
The tragic scene at the end, no spoilers though.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This book is quite long, and I had to break it up and listen in the car when my kids were not around to hear it.

I love Taming the Thief

I love Taming the Thief! Its an AWESOME book!! Lara and Sebastian fit perfect together. I love that Lara had told Sebastian told him that he had to help her out. I couldn't put down the book. I was even trying to read it at work. I would recommend this book to my friends. CS Patra did good writing this book. This is my first one of her books that I read. I cant wait to read more books from her.
