A wonderful read with an intriguing story-line!

i really enjoyed the interaction and relationship development that occurred with Rory and Matthew! This was an adult relationship and i really enjoyed the struggle to understand each other and how they learned to communicate and trust. The author was very creative and brought in some very interesting supporting characters that i thoroughly enjoyed reading about. My heart was touched by Matt and his struggle to trust and love. Rory was such a direct and refreshing character and i loved how strong both men were portrayed. The story will keep you reading and very engaged!

I absolutely loved this book! Both of the main characters are really well-written and interesting; Rory is adorable and Matthew's expletive-filled rants had me chuckling more than once. This was a really interesting take on the "mated" stories I've read in that it's not insta-love on both sides. Rory readily acknowledges that Matthew is his mate and understands exactly what it means, but Matthew is far more reluctant and tries to deny that such a thing is possible--vampires don't mate, especially not to werewolves (at least, as far as he knows). The best part of the story was watching Matthew come to terms with the idea and start to understand what it means to be mated. His reactions to the emotional and physical connections that come from being mated to someone feel natural and well-developed. The pace at which he accepts their mating feels just right, not too fast or too slow.
The murder mystery was really interesting, too. I had no idea who was behind the killings until it was finally revealed, and it was not at all what I expected! The only thing I had an issue with was that there were a couple of loose ends at the end of the story that weren't really tidied up. I felt like the outcome of Rory's uncle's condition should have been explained more as it was really vague how things ended. And I was curious as to what the deal was with Rory's friend who didn't play into the story until at the end and who has some sort of mysterious grandfather that Rory asked a favor of.
All in all, I absolutely enjoyed the story. TC Blue is an excellent writer, and I look forward to reading more by her!
Oh, and the sex scenes are super, super, smoking hot!
