About the Author
Leslie M. Scott-Jones has been writing since her teens. The world premiere of her play “Desire Moments” was part of the 2014 Capital Fringe Festival. She has several titles on Amazon and Book Ends is her first full length novel. She is a black southern woman from Virginia, with all that that entails. She is involved in community theatre, on stage and behind the scenes. She is a mother of two and enjoys her very large and sometimes crazy family.

A true love story

Leslie has written a book that is profoundly real about relationships. No fairytale, this is a real woman and a real man and real reasons to stay together or drift apart.

A Lovely, Grounded Romance for the Real World!

This is not the type of book I normally read. A friend gave it to me, and, as a friend, I dutifully read it. Thing is, it's really good. Ms. Scott-Jones has strong story-telling instincts, and a deep understanding of her characters, both female and male. They are presented as believably, sometimes, frustratingly, real (there was more than one point where I wanted to smack some of them upside the head, just to knock some sense into them). There are (happily) no plucky virginal heroines with dancing inner goddesses, no tortured billionaire playboys who claim to be in a lifestyle that the author clearly has no knowledge of, and no contract negotiations. There ARE, however, two perfectly imperfect people, struggling to live their lives with and without each other. Their journey is uniquely theirs, but also beautifully relatable and universal. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Scott-Jones' work, and (hopefully) more stories about Jack & Quinn.
