A sweet love story

Vintage Values proves that age is just a number and love can be found at any age/any stage in life. Sometimes love comes along at a time when it is unexpected but no less welcomed.
Quinn has been alone since the death of her husband and she's been the matchmaker of Corbin's Bend for quite a while now, helping others find the love that she once shared with the man of her dreams. Now, however, it seems that fate has put a man in path that will change the course of her life.
She's happy running her little shop with her niece, Abby, and enjoying the time they spend together hunting "finds" for her antique shop. During one of thier shopping trips, she meets a man named Henry who isn't far from her thoughts. Granted, one or two chance meeting is all it is as they will soon head home to Corbin's Bend, but there is something about him...
Henry is intrigued by the woman he stumbles upon at a couple of estate sales as he makes his way across the country to his new home in Corbin's Bend. Imagine his surprise to find out she lives just a few streets over. The connection he felt with her strengthens immediately and he welcomes the chance to get to know Quinn even better.
I enjoyed reading Quinn's story and the how love can find you at any age -- usually when you are least expecting it.

But a happy coincidence happens and Henry is moving to Corbins Bend

The story we've all been looking forward to. It is all about Quincy. She has been a strong force in previous Corbin's Bend books and I know I've been curious about what goes on with her. She she meets Henry while looking for antiques for her shop. She bumps her head on a table while trying to get a box out and Henry helps her get out from under the table and gives her a handkerchief so that she can wipe the blood off the cut. There is an instant attraction between Quincy and Henry but neither think that they're going to be able to act on it as Henry is moving to Colorado and he believes that Quincy is a local. But a happy coincidence happens and Henry is moving to Corbins Bend. They meet again at a barbecue and start a loving, late-in-life relationship.
I enjoyed this book. I like reading about people in their fifties and sixties having a life. A lot of young people think that we're all dead by the time we are this age! This was very enjoyable and I give this 5 stars.

MATCHMAKER, MATCHMAKER, YOU FOUND YOUR MATCH

Corbin’s Bend Series is one of my all-time favorite series, and with this being season four, you can’t help but fall in love with the people, the relationships, the acceptance, non-judgmental attitudes and overall camaraderie of the residence. There are some characters who stand out, and widow Quincy Lauder is definitely one, she is like the beloved Auntie to the younger couples. Seeing Quincy find a new love after the death of her beloved Joe is icing on the cake. Henry Hopkins, a widower, is leaving Texas behind and retiring to Corbin’s Bend for a slower pace in life, looking forward to friends and maybe finding a new lady. You can’t help but laugh at some of the antics of Quincy and Henry during their impromptu meetings. The chemistry between these two is electric and it is so nice to see mature adults have another chance at happily ever after.
